World Championship Qualifiers are one day qualifying events for Regional Championships, European Championship, World Championship or the Teen World Championship. You may enter more than one Qualifier and you may play in Qualifiers outside of your state of residency.
The U.S. Kids Golf World Championship Qualifiers allow boys and girls, ages 5 to 14, an opportunity to compete against kids their own age and gender on courses set up for age appropriate play. A player's age on July 31, 2009, will determine his/her age bracket for the qualifier.
Similar to the PGA Tour, players at U.S. Kids Golf events are encouraged to have caddies to help them play their best. Allowing caddies is a special component of our tournaments and is our commitment to encouraging family interaction that builds lasting memories.
The top five finishers in each age and gender group will receive a medal for their accomplishments, and the first place winner in each age and gender group who meet the scoring requirement below will be invited to compete in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship, Teen World Championship and other Regional Championships. Players finishing 2nd (and meeting the scoring requirement) to players who have previously qualified for this year's World Championship or Teen World Championship will also receive an invitation, therefore encouraging previously qualified players to participate and guaranteeing that they will not take someone else's spot by playing. The scoring requirement must be met by everyone in order to receive an invitation to the World Championship and Teen World Championship, regardless of the position in which a player finishes.
Also, the top three finishers in each age and gender group of a World Championship Qualifier who shoot the required scores will receive an invitation to compete in future Regional Championships. Participation is limited and on a first come, first served basis, so an invitation does not guarantee a spot in the tournament. Entries may be terminated at any time.
