Championship Qualifiers are one day qualifying events to gain Priority Invitations to Regional, International and World or Teen World Championships. A player may enter more than one Qualifier and is permitted to play in Qualifiers outside of his or her state and country of residency.
The Championship Qualifiers allow boys and girls, ages 6 to 14, an opportunity to compete against kids their own age and gender on courses set up for age appropriate play. A player's age on July 31, 2010, will determine his or her age bracket for all Qualifiers.
Similar to the PGA Tour, players at U.S. Kids Golf events are encouraged to have caddies to help them play their best. Allowing caddies is a special component of our tournaments and is our commitment to encouraging family interaction that builds lasting memories. Players age 8 and under must have a caddie at all times. Please review the USKG Policies for more information on this special part of all U.S. Kids Golf competitions.
The top five finishers in each age and gender group in the 2010 Championship Qualifiers will receive a medal for their accomplishments. Players meeting the Scoring Requirement will receive a Priority Invitation to Major Championship events based on his or her finish in the Championship Qualifier.
Effective Spring 2010: Priority Invitations will not be passed down to the next finisher if winners are previously qualified for Championship events. Players must meet the Scoring Requirement in the event in which he or she qualifies.
