Round Two

Boys 6 & Under

Jonathan Pollak of Miami Beach, Fla., posted a consistent final-round 36 to break away from a tie and claim the title of Boys 6 & Under champion. Pollak recorded two birdies in his final round, including one on his final hole to clinch a three-stroke victory. Justin Bjornson of Winnipeg, Canada, was closest to Pollak's 3-over-par pace, as he finished at 6-over-par 78. Sihan Sandhu of Ashburn, Va., finished in third place at 79.

Boys 7

Nothing could slow down Jeevan Sihota in the Boys 7 age group, as he cruised to a nine-stroke victory. Sihota, of Victoria, Canada, fired his second consecutive 3-under-par 33 to finish the tournament at 6-under-par 66. He recorded eight birdies during the 18-hole event. Aaron Zhang of Lake Mary, Fla., posted a final-round 1-over-par 37 to claim second place at 3-over-par 75 for the tournament. Manuel Barbachano of Laredo, Texas, rounded out the top three at a tournament total of 85.

Boys 8

Carter Loflin of Duluth, Ga., completed an impressive come-from-behind victory in the Boys 8 division, turning a three-stroke deficit into a two-stroke win. Loflin birdied his final hole to finish at 4-over-par 76, edging out Garrett Engle of Harrisburg, Pa. Engle finished at 6-over-par 78. First-round leader Jake Peacock of Alpharetta, Ga., finished in third place at 8-over-par 80.

Boys 9

Connery Meyer of Marietta, Ga., had a big lead headed to the final round and was able to hold off a late rally to claim a two-stroke victory in the Boys 9 division. Meyer followed up his first-round 1-over-par 73 with a final-round 79 to finish at 8-over-par 152. Nicholas Gabrelcik of Trinity, Fla., birdied his final two holes to close the gap but came up short, finishing in second place at 154. Carter Dalili of Vero Beach, Fla., followed in third place at 155 for the tournament.

Boys 10

The top of the Boys 10 leaderboard went low, as Tucker Allen of Granbury, Texas, recorded a final-round 72 to cruise to a three-stroke victory. Allen, who fired a first-round 67, recorded 10 birdies during the 36-hole event. Tyler Lipscomb of Carrolton, Ga., finished the tournament at 2-under-par 142 to claim second place. Jack Heath of Charlotte, N.C., and Tyler Wilkes of Tampa, Fla., tied for third place at 3-over-par 147.

Boys 11

Consistency was key for Josef Dransfeld of Huntington, W.V., as he fired his second consecutive even-par 72 to win the Boys 11 age group by two shots. Dransfeld carded six birdies during his two rounds. Travis Vick of Houston followed in second place after recording a pair of 1-over-par 73s. First-round co-leader Garrett Barber of Palm Beach, Fla., and Evan Sun of Wesley Chapel, Fla., tied for third at 3-over-par 147 for the tournament.

Boys 12

David Giandomenico of Duluth, Ga., overcame a four-stroke deficit to post a five-stroke victory in the Boys 12 age group. Giandomenico, who fired a final-round 2-under-par 70, did some damage on the Copperhead Course's "Snake Pit" (Nos. 16-18), as he birdied two of the final three holes. Robert Eisch of Tampa, Fla., and Alberto Martinez of Weston, Fla., tied for second place at 5-over-par 149.

Boys 13

Jeremy Perna of Sarasota, Fla., posted a remarkable comeback in the Boys 13 age group, as he came from a  tie for sixth place after the first round to finish atop the leaderboard. Perna followed up his first-round 81 with a final-round even-par 72 that featured an eagle and two birdies. Perna's victory came by one stroke over first-round co-leader Daniel Griffiths of Binghamton, N.Y., who finished at 10-over-par 154 for the tournament. Kaleb Johnson of Naples, Fla., finished in third place at 155 for the tournament.

Boys 14

Eric Shelly of Fernandina Beach, Fla., made up a five-stroke deficit and came away with a three-stroke victory on the Copperhead Course. Shelly birdied two of his first six holes to build some momentum, and he leapfrogged four players with his 3-over-par 75. Patrick Mills of Tampa, Fla., also posted a final-round 75 and moved from seventh place into second place. He finished the tournament at a total of 162. Dante Davis of Brandon, Fla., and Donald Gabrelcik of Trinity, Fla., tied for third place with a tournament total of 164.

Girls 7 & Under

Alexa Pano of Lake Worth, Fla., provided perhaps the most dominating performance of the 2012 Copperhead Classic, finishing 20 strokes clear of her nearest competitor. Pano fired a final-round 3-under-par 33, finishing at 5-under-par 67 for the tournament. Impressively, Pano recorded five birdies and no bogies during the event. Brianna Castaldi of Port St. Lucie, Fla., finished in second place with an 87. Hannah Grace Nall of Starkville, Miss., finished in third place at a tournament total of 88.

Girls 8

For the second consecutive day, Ariel Gonzales of Villahermosa, Mexico, recorded the lowest score in the Girls 8 division. Her final-round 47 was all she needed, as she cruised to a 10-stroke victory. Sierra Fink of Columbus, Ga., finished in second place, and Gabriela Shortridge of Orlando, Fla., rounded out the top three.

Girls 9

Mimi Chen of Longwood, Fla., recorded a remarkable final round to turn a hotly-contested Girls 9 age group into a runaway victory. Chen fired a final-round 4-under-par 32 to pull away from the field. She birdied four of her final five holes and finished the tournament at even-par 72, nine strokes ahead of the competition. First-round co-leader Wan Jia Han of Kunming, China, finished in second place at 9-over-par 81, and Casey Weidenfeld of Coral Gables, Fla., finished in third place at 85 for the tournament.

Girls 10

Lauren Miller of Niceville, Fla., went low in the final round to win the Girls 10 age group by two strokes. Miller, who trailed first-round leader Michaela Morard by two strokes entering the final round, birdied four holes on Sunday including a clinching birdie on the final hole. She finished at 8-over-par 152 for the tournament. Caroline Curtis of Glen Allen, Va., finished in second place at 154 for the tournament, while Morard, of Huntsville, Ala., finished in third place at 156.

Girls 11

Due to an early morning frost delay, the Girls 11 final round was shortened to nine holes. Dana Williams took advantage by parring all nine holes, as she finished at 9-over-par 117, three strokes clear of her nearest competitor. Mallory Lovell of Georgetown, Ky., recorded a final-round 38 to finish in second place at 120, while Angela Garvin of Feeding Hills, Mass., finished in third place at 121.

Girls 12

First-round co-leader Carolina Andrade of Bogota, Colombia, fired the low round of the day in the Girls 12 age group to pull away from the field and earn a six-stroke victory. Andrade's final-round 81 included an eagle and a birdie as she finished at 164 for the tournament. Lindsey Gonzalez of Tampa, Fla., finished in second place, and Kelly Newbrough of Naples, Fla., finished in thrid at a tournament total of 172.

Girls 13

Victoria Origel of Mexico cruised to a victory in the Girls 13 division with a final-round 81. Origel recorded her first birdie of the event on the final hole for good measure. Marissa Balish of Allison Park, Pa., finished in second place.

Round One

Boys 6 & Under

The Boys 6 & Under leaderboard is extremely crowded, as five players are within three shots of the lead. Jonathan Pollak of Miami Beach, Fla., and Andre Zhu of Richmond Hill, Canada, top the leaderboard after matching one another with a 3-over-par 39. Each player birdied No. 2 en route to a solid round. Justin Bjornsen of Winnipeg, Canada, is not far behind after a first-round 40.

Boys 7

Jeevan Sihota of Victoria, Canada, is off to a fast start in the Boys 7 division, as he looks to capture his third consecutive Regional Championship. Sihota, who won the 2011 Monterey Challenge and Ka'anapali Hawaiian Classic, opened with a 3-under-par 33 that featured birdies on his first and last hole. He holds a five-stroke lead over Aaron Zhang of Lake Mary, Fla. Alex Heard of Boca Raton, Fla., and Manuel Barbachano of Laredo, Texas, are tied for third place after each posting a 45.

Boys 8

Several are in contention in the Boys 8 division, as Jake Peacock of Alpharetta, Ga., set the pace with an even-par 36 in the first round. Peacock closed with an impressive eagle 2 on No. 9 to put him ahead by two strokes. Luke Clanton of Miami Lakes, Fla., is in second place at 38, and Carter Loflin of Duluth, Ga., follows at 39.

Boys 9

Connery Meyer of Marietta, Ga., has a comfortable lead in the Boys 9 division after posting a 1-over-par 73. Meyer, whose round included two birdies and three bogies, is six shots ahead of his nearest competitor. Nicholas Grabrelcik of Trinity, Fla., fired a 79 to hold second place, and Leopoldo Herrera III of Miami posted an 80 to round out the top three.

Boys 10

The lowest score of the day came from Tucker Allen of Granbury, Texas. Allen recorded an outstanding total of seven birdies during his 5-under-par 67 round. His lead is not safe, however, as Tyler Lipscomb of Carrolton, Ga., recorded an eagle and three birdies en route to a 3-under-par round of 69. Tyler Wilkes of Tampa, Fla., shot 1-over-par 73 and sits in third place.

Boys 11

The Boys 11 age group is wide open after several players put up low numbers in the first round. Garrett Barber of Palm Beach, Fla., and Josef Dransfeld of Huntington, W.V., lead the way with a pair of even-par 72s. Barber recorded five birdies and five bogies on his round, while Dransfeld carded four birdies of his own. Travis Vick of Houston and Teddy Tetak of Limbach, Slovakia, are only one shot behind after each shooting a 1-over-par 73. Six players are within three strokes of the lead.

Boys 12

Ryan Hicks of Clearwater, Fla., fired an impressive 2-under-par 70 to claim a four-stroke lead headed to the final round. Hicks recorded five birdies, including four on the back nine, to claim his spot atop the leaderboard. David Giandomenico of Duluth, Ga., is in second place with a 2-over-par 74, and Alberto Martinez of Weston, Fla., is in third place at 75.

Boys 13

Daniel Griffiths of Binghamton, N.Y., and Doug Smith of Winter Park, Fla., are tied atop the Boys 13 leaderboard after one round of play on the Copperhead Course. Griffiths parred 14 holes in his round and Smith recorded a pair of key birdies, as each player is currently 4-over-par. Eric Hall of Harwood, Md., is two shots behind after a 6-over-par 78.

Boys 14

Jacob Huizinga of Orlando, Fla., leads the pack with a first-round 7-over-par 79 in the Boys 14 division. His round was highlighted with an eagle on No.11. Donald Gabrelcik of Trinity, Fla., is only two shots out of the lead after opening with an 81. Michael Springer, also of Trinity, Fla., is in third place at 82.

Girls 7 & Under

Alexa Pano of Lake Worth, Fla., has a commanding lead in the Girls 7 & Under division, as she posted a 2-under-par 34 to lead by 10. Pano played a steady round, carding a birdie on Nos. 4 and 5 and parring the rest of the course. Hannah Grace Nall of Starkville, Miss., is closest in pursuit after a first-round 44, and Brianna Castaldi of Port St. Lucie, Fla., is in third place with a 45.

Girls 8

Ariel Gonzales of Villahermosa, Mexico, has a three-shot lead in the Girls 8 division after one round. She put up a 48, which makes her three strokes clear of Sierra Fink of Columbus, Ga., who shot a first-round 51. Gabriella Shortridge of Orlando, Fla., is currently in third place.

Girls 9

There is a tie atop the Girls 9 leaderboard, as Wan Jia Han of Kunming, China, and Mimi Chen of Longwood, Fla., each posted a 4-over-par 40 to begin the tournament. Each player recorded one birdie to highlight their nine-hole round. Taylor Miano of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., is squarely in the mix after an opening-round 41.

Girls 10

The Girls 10 leaderboard is crowded, as Michaela Morard of Huntsville, Ala., holds a one-stroke lead. Her first-round 6-over-par 78 featured a pair of birdies. Caroline Curtis of Glen Allen, Va., lurks in second place, only one behind Morard. Lauren Miller of Niceville, Fla., is also squarely in contention after an 8-over-par 80.

Girls 11

Angela Garvin of Feeding Hills, Mass., holds the lead amongst another crowded leaderboard, as her 7-over-par 79 is good enough for a one-stroke lead after the first round. Garvin recorded three birdies in her round. Amy Zhang of Lake Mary, Fla., is one stroke behind in second place, while Holly McCann of Raleigh, N.C., and Dana Wiliams of Boca Raton, Fla., are in a tie for third place at 9-over-par 81.

Girls 12

Only three strokes separate the top five in the Girls 12, as Ashley Zagers of Oldsmar, Fla., and Carolina Andrade of Bogota, Columbia, lead after a pair of 83s. The pair combined for three birdies on Saturday, but have only a one-stroke cushion on Lindsey Gonzalez of Tampa, Fla. Gonzalez recorded two birdies during her round of 84.

Girls 13

Victoria Origel of Mexico leads the Girls 13 age group after a first-round 7-over-par 79. Origel recorded an eagle on No. 6 to highlight her round. Marissa Balish of Allison Park, Pa., is in second place.
