Awards - Medals & Points

 

Tee gifts will be given out at the first event played in a Local Tour.  After the conclusion of play, awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age/gender group.

·   All ties will be broken according to the Playoff Policy
 
Points will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in each age/gender group and will accumulate throughout the Tour.  If two or more players tie for 2nd or below, all points for the spots in question will be added together and then distributed by average to the players equally.
Points awarded for each one-day Tour event are listed below.  The Tour Championship - will have double the points.
 
1st 30 points 6th 8 points
2nd 20 points 7th 6 points
3rd 15 points 8th 4 points
4th 12 points 9th 2 points
5th 10 points 10th 1 point

 
Following completion of the seven one-day regular season events, a one-day Local Tour Championship event will be held. Participation in the Local Tour Championship is open to everyone. After completion of the Local Tour Championship, the top five cumulative points leaders in each age and gender group for the entire Local Tour will earn the following awards:
 
·   1st place: Player of the Year
·   2nd - 5th place: All Star recognition and award
 
Ties for Player of the Year will be broken by the players' finish in the Local Tour Championship. If all tied players do not attend the championship, the winner will be determined based on scoring average.
 
 

Major Championship Qualification

Player of the Year (POY) honorees who have participated in at least 4 events in that Local Tour (which can include the Local Tour Championship) and who meet the Scoring Requirement in at least one of that Local Tour's events will receive a Priority Invitation to Major Championship events if the player is still age eligible.

Players finishing in the top five in total season points in each age and gender group who have participated in at least 4 events from that Local Tour and who meet the Scoring Requirement in at least one of that Local Tour's events will receive a Priority Invitation to Major Championships if the player is still age eligible.
 
Participation is limited and is on a first come, first served basis. An invitation does not guarantee a spot in the tournament. Entries may be terminated at any time. The Local Tour season must be complete prior to registration opening to be eligible for a Regional Championship.  If a Regional Championship’s invitations have already been sent prior to the completion of your tour's season, you will be invited to the following year's event.
